Minister Ivica Dačić meets with the outgoing Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic H.E. Toufic Jaber

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić received today the outgoing Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic in Belgrade Toufic Jaber.
Minister Dačić thanked for the Ambassador’s engagement in the past four years and his contribution to promotion of bilateral relations.
During their meeting they confirmed traditionally good bilateral relations between the countries and expressed mutual interest in their promotion, particularly in the economic sector. The significance of intensifying political dialogue on a high and the highest level in the future has been mutually highlighted.
Minister Dačić has particularly pointed out the gratitude for the principle stance of the Lebanese Republic regarding non-recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo and expressed expectation that support of the Lebanese side to territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia will be continued.
Serbia will continue giving its active contribution to the UNIFIL Mission in Lebanon, through engagement of members of the Army of Serbia.

The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić received today in his farewell visit the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic Toufic Jaber and thanked him for the contribution in promoting bilateral cooperation. President Vučić congratulated Ambassador Jaber the Independence Day which Lebanon was celebrating today.
He expressed his gratitude for the firm Lebanese stance to not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, as well as for the support of Lebanon in international organisations which was shown also during the voting against membership of the so-called Kosovo in the UNESCO.
Jaber said that Lebanon was firmly with Serbia with regard to Kosovo, observing the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state.On this occasion, he congratulated President Vučić on leading an independent foreign policy, reads the release of the Press Service of the President of the Republic.
Vučić and Ambassador Jaber concluded that bilateral relations are good and without open issues, but that the political dialogue should be more frequent and that more opportunities for economic cooperation should be used. Jaber thanked President Vučić for the good reception in Serbia, expressing satisfaction that during his diplomatic term seven intergovernmental agreements were concluded, which contribute to bringing two countries closer and creating conditions for greater cooperation.
President Vučić said that Serbia will continue offering active contribution to the peace missions of the United Nations in Lebanon – UNIFIL, in which almost 180 members of the Army of Serbia are participating, as well as in the UNTSO.
Minister Zoran Djordjević meets with the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic H.E. Toufic Jaber

The Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjević met with the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic in the Republic of Serbia H.E. Toufic Jaber.
Minister Djordjević expressed satisfaction for meeting with Ambassador Jaber and his wish to jointly work on promoting bilateral relations between the two countries. The Minister proposed to review in the future possibilities for establishing cooperation in the sectors of social insurance, labour, labour relations and veteran issues. Djordjević informed the Ambassador about the programme of the Ministry for the coming period, including his expectation to have as a priority establishment of financial control with the aim of reaching full transparency and creation of a functional system.
Ambassador Jaber congratulated Minister Djordjević on his function of the Minister for Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and expressed willingness to further develop bilateral relations. The Ambassdor conveyed the wish of the Lebanese Republic to deepen friendly relations with Serbia and invited the Minister to visit the Lebanese Republic in near future.
